What to Eat To Lose Weight And Get A Flat, Toned Stomach…
So you want to look great on holiday this year right? You want to be able to walk on the beach or sit by the pool and feel freaking awesome.
When summer comes people all of a sudden realise that certain clothes are not going to fit, or they will not feel comfortable wearing certain things.
One of the goals we hear a lot, is I want to lose weight. So I ask specifically, what areas do you feel uncomfortable with right now that you would like to change. Stomach, is nearly always one of them.
So how can we get that flat, toned stomach before the summer hits?
Well there are a few things to focus on…. a couple of weeks ago we looked at the 5 Top Exercises To Lose Weight. If you have not read that one, make sure you go and read that as well!
Today we are going to focus on nutrition!
What do you need to eat and drink to lose weight and get that flat, toned stomach?
Focus on eating clean and healthy, and your stomach will literally disappear before your eyes.
Eat a protein based breakfast – Everyday
Cut out the crap – chocolate, cakes, crisps, fizzy drinks etc.
Eat balanced meals – protein, lots of veg, and some carbs.
What about calories?
This is always a bit tough because, each individual will differ, however as a guideline, for weight loss, women should be aiming at between 1500-1750 calories and men at around 2000.
Start taking notice on how many calories there are in the food you eat, this will open your eyes to how easy it is to overeat.
Also remember that there are calories in all those drinks you are having…except water of course. If you eat 1750 calories in food, then go and have a sugar in your tea and coffee, followed by a glass of wine, you will soon easily be over 2000 calories.
They key with nutrition is to be consistent.
Everytime you go to eat or drink something, just ask this question →
How is what I am about to eat/drink right now, going to help me achieve my goal?
If the answer is “its not”, put it down and find something to eat that is beneficial for the body.
In fact I suggest you write that question out, and stick it to your computer screen or put it visibly in your purse so you see it regularly.
Most important thing is to take action and start now!
