Add this one thing to your water to help you lose weight

Last time we talked about being careful when drinking flavoured bottled water. Why? Because they are often packed full of sugar.

However lots of people were asking what they should have instead. Apparently, “just water” was not a good enough answer haha.

If you are not a fan of plain water, for whatever reason, then you are in luck, and in fact everyone should be adding this to their water anyway for the health benefits……

What is this secret ingredient?

Lemon

Add a slice of fresh lemon, or squeeze the lemon juice into your glass of water.

 Lemon Water

The fresh, real lemon has so many benefits, including increasing your metabolism, clearing skin problems, often helping with any digestive issues. When I say increasing metabolism, if you are on a journey to lose weight or get fit right now, you want a high metabolism. Not eating very much, equals a slow metabolism which is why we put weight back on after typical dieting. Again a story for another day.

One other thing, and taking this a little further, we are always aiming for an alkali diet. I can go into more detail on this another time. Most of our nutrition tends to be very acidic. Which is not good for your body. From a health, weight loss and general wellbeing point of view, we need to create an alkali environment.

Starting your day with a glass of water with lemon, or even hot water with lemon, is a great way to instantly create an alkali environment in your body!

So starting today, just add that lemon to a glass of water each morning.
