From my first blog in this series, you should have learnt the tweaks we need to make for our diets when thinking about what nutrients we need and most importantly how much of them. You should also know that cardio is not the only solution to getting toned! We must prioritise weight training like I told you in my last blog, to allow some muscle growth to show off those ripped muscles on the beach!

How To Overcome The “My Husband Doesn’t Want To Get Fit” Issue

Every now and again when speaking to people about their struggles in getting to grips with a healthy lifestyle, up comes this clanger… “my husband doesn’t want to get fit”. And while that may not seem like an issue at first, it really can have disastrous consequences on your efforts.  I see people who get great results in the first few weeks, and then just slide off the rails as it were. Not because they lose motivation, but because of their partner.  The husband who said he was super supportive to begin with, in fact still claims he is, is now sabotaging the wife’s weight loss efforts, making them feel bad for trying to be healthy. He isn’t doing this intentionally because he is mean and evil, so why does it happen? And by the way, I am writing this article as if the wife is trying to be healthy and the husband isn’t but this happens the other way around as well.
