Overall I am on a mission to look better, feel better and slow down the aging process. I am obsessed with the “A year to save my life” programmes and kept thinking,  if I had time, money and someone to motivate me, I could change myself to be happy and feel better.  When I came across Pursuit on Facebook advertising to local Esher Women I rang straight away.  I was scared of the cost at first, but it has been nearly a year now and I don’t even notice the extra expense because to me, this is the best money I have ever spent!  For the first time in my life (and I have tried most things including personal trainers, gyms, Cambridge diets, etc) I love to work out and actually enjoy knowing I am doing something that is boosting my confidence and making me feel amazing!  I actually look forward to my sessions – even after 11 months!!

My best experience so far.. By far it is the people and the environment. I knew I needed to do something about my health and everything I tried wasn’t working. I wanted to get back in shape and be able to keep up with the kids. Then I had my accident and my goal changed to rehab and to be able to walk again! Now those are both behind me and it’s about staying fit and feeling like a better person and committing to a long term lifestyle change. Oh – and beating Mike’s 74 press ups in a minute…

I started with a real determination but then 3 months into the new regime I broke my legs and everything went downhill from there. I honestly didn’t think I would be able to get back into it – but the Pursuit team really went out of their way to get me back on track. From home visits & nutrition tips to one on ones – I really can’t thank Chris, Georgie, Antony and Mike enough. So my best experience at Pursuit is hands down the Pursuit team who are just amazing!! Oh and the charity night of course which (aside from the hangover and empty wallet) was an absolute blast!!

What would you say to someone contemplating joining PFT? Go for it! You really won’t regret it. It’s become a real family thing for me. My wife, Helen and I train together and the kids see us getting up and doing something active which is definitely rubbing off. I love seeing them trying to do planks and press ups. Not so sure about them wanting to box though….

Steve’s Top Tip – It’s a whole lot easier if you don’t do it alone. I’ve tried so many times to get into shape and it’s only now with the motivation, encouragement and guidance of people who really care about their clients that I feel I’ve made real progress. So let someone else do all the planning and motivating – you just need to commit!

I joined to lose some weight, build muscle, become more confident and knowledgeable about the correct use and execution of different exercises, gain a better understanding of healthy nutrition and to meet new people because I was new to the area.

I started training with Pursuit Fitness because I was not progressing much with my fitness and being on the road quite a lot, I was starting to put on weight and was not very fit at all. I needed to do something about it and this sounded like the right thing for me.

The first few months were quite a challenge but Chris was very encouraging and also he gives you lots of variations so that you can progress to the next level when you are ready. He also sits down with you and goes through your nutrition and sets forth some realistic goals so that you know what you’re aiming for.

The benefits I have gained from being with Pursuit Fitness Training is truly incredible. I have lost up to 4 inches on my hips and 3 inches on my waist. My body fat has reduced by almost 8% and my fitness levels have increased quite significantly. I can actually do a regular push up now which I was never able to do in the past and I am full of energy throughout the day. Chris has also assisted me with some Personal Training sessions focusing on strength training and I am able to lift heavier weights now with better technique and form.

The biggest struggle has been and still is on some days, getting up early in the morning but once you start doing it on a regular basis, your body naturally adapts to the routine so much so that I’m waking up 5.30am on Saturdays too!

I joined the PFT programme to become fitter for the coming cricket season and to lose some weight

The PFT regime is far preferable than signing up to gym if like me you can’t discipline yourself to a) go regularly and b) push oneself to a reasonable level of excersion.

Thanks to PFT I managed to lose nearly a stone in 2 months. I would like to say my cricket improved but that would be a lie. I did run around faster though!

I WAS PRETTY LAZY AND IN NEED OF A KICKSTART!

26 year old Charlotte Myson now has a new body, a new attitude and a new way of life.

As with most people’s experiences with gyms, I have in the past set out with the best intentions, only to find that by the first month my attendance and motivation has dwindled. The primary reason that I signed up for one of your programmes was to break that cycle and enter onto a sustained programme that demonstrated real gains, both in fitness and health.
